Pre-Motor Filter
A filter positioned between the dust collection (bag or canister) and the motor itself. Protects the motor windings from fine debris.
Pre-motor filters are usually foam or pleated synthetic. Wash or replace at the schedule in the manual. A clogged pre-motor filter is one of the most common causes of vacuum overheating.
