Miele repair help.
We built a dedicated Miele troubleshooting hub for shutdowns, suction loss,
bag/filter issues, powerheads, and cordless batteries.
Miele Repair Hub How it works
- Bring it in. Walk in to 3640 King Street in the Bradlee Shopping Center. No appointment.
- Free diagnosis. Ten minutes on average. We will tell you what is wrong.
- Quote. You hear the price before we touch anything beyond diagnosis.
- Same-day repair when possible. Most jobs ship that day; PCB and motor work runs 1 to 3 days.
- Pickup. Walk in or arrange pickup. We do not lock vacuums into long warehousing.
The repair-or-replace question
Customers ask all the time whether it is worth fixing. The short answer: if the quoted repair is under 50% of a comparable new vacuum's price and the unit is less than 7 years old, repair wins. Beyond that the math gets specific. See the repair-or-replace guide for the version with named numbers.
Common questions
- Do you charge for a repair estimate?
- No. Diagnosis is free at our Alexandria shop. We will tell you what is wrong and what it costs to fix. If you decide not to repair, you owe nothing.
- How long does a vacuum repair take?
- Most jobs are same-day when parts are in stock. Belt, brush roll, filter, and hose replacements are typically under an hour. Motor and PCB jobs run 1 to 3 days depending on parts availability.
- What does a typical repair cost?
- Belt replacement averages $20 to $40 in parts and labor. Bag light and brush-roll services run $40 to $90. Battery replacements for supported cordless vacuums average $90 to $160. Motor rebuilds and major hose work run $150 to $300. We quote before we work.
- Do you service vacuums bought elsewhere?
- Yes. We service any vacuum regardless of where it was purchased. Manufacturer warranty applies only if you bought from an authorized seller; outside that, our standard repair service applies.
- What brands can you not fix?
- Almost none. Some sealed cordless units and very new models are not practical to service when parts are not available to dealers. Call ahead if your vacuum is unusual.
