27 Years on King Street
Balbir Singh opened Virginia Vacuums in the Bradlee Shopping Center on May 19, 1999. The same family has run the shop, in the same address, ever since. Our BBB rating is A+ and our file was opened in January 2000.
What we do
We repair vacuums every day. That is the bench. We sell new vacuums (with the Miele line as the centerpiece because we are an Authorized Miele Dealer), we sell certified pre-owned vacuums, and we carry parts in stock for every brand we service. Customers walk in carrying a Dyson that lost suction last Tuesday, a Miele Complete C3 that needs a new bag indicator switch, a Sebo Felix that needs a belt, or a ProTeam backpack from a cleaning company that died mid-route. We diagnose, give a free estimate, and most jobs go out the door the same day.
Where we are
3640 King Street, Suite A, on the back side of Bradlee Shopping Center, Alexandria VA 22302. Six minutes from Old Town. Four minutes from Del Ray. Twelve from Shirlington. Fifteen from Mount Vernon and Belle Haven. We are the only vacuum specialist physically inside the City of Alexandria; every other shop in DMV operates from Fairfax, Vienna, Springfield, Leesburg, or further out.
Why we focus on vacuums
Most appliance repair shops in Northern Virginia handle washers, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, and microwaves. Vacuums are one category among many on their bench. For us vacuums are the whole bench. That difference shows up in three places: parts inventory (we stock Type GN, FJM, U, and KK bags for Miele, X4 service boxes for Sebo, batteries for every supported Dyson V-series in current circulation, Kirby belts, Rainbow filters, and so on), repair turnaround (most jobs are same-day when parts are in stock), and the kind of advice you get before you spend $800 on a new vacuum.
Authorized Miele Dealer
Miele warranty coverage requires purchase from an Authorized Miele Dealer. The dealer-exclusive HomeCare Collection ships with a 5-year warranty (vs the standard 2-year) and a $139 attachment bundle that Amazon cannot legally sell. If you want to verify our authorization independently, see the verification page.
