Post-Motor Filter
The filter that air passes through after exiting the motor and before exhausting from the vacuum. Captures the fine carbon particulate generated by the motor's brushes.
On premium vacuums the post-motor filter is HEPA. On budget vacuums it may be foam or absent entirely, meaning motor exhaust goes straight into the room.
