Common questions
- How do I find the right bag for my Miele?
- Open the dust compartment. The plastic bag holder is color-coded: blue = GN, red = FJM, beige = U, yellow = KK. The type is also printed on the inside of the lid.
- Are genuine bags worth the price difference?
- On Miele, Sebo, and Kirby: yes. The seal at the bag collar matters for motor protection. On mass-market brands the difference is smaller.
- How often should I change my vacuum bag?
- When the indicator turns red, or every 8 to 12 weeks for an average household. Pet households change more often.
