Likely causes
- Power unit installed in a different configuration
- Floorhead neck not locking correctly
- Wand or latch not fully seated
- Parking position misunderstood
- Damaged floorhead joint or latch
Safe checks before you bring it in
- Confirm the vacuum is assembled in the intended parking configuration.
- Reseat the wand and floorhead until the latch clicks.
- Check the floorhead neck for free movement or damage.
- Do not store the vacuum where it can fall onto hard surfaces.

This may be setup rather than repair. If a latch or floorhead neck is worn, addressing it prevents drops that can crack plastic parts.
