Miele Cordless Brush Not Spinning

What the symptom usually looks like
The vacuum turns on, but the floorhead brush does not spin or stops when placed on carpet.
Likely causes
- Hair or string wrapped around the brush roll
- Brush roll overload protection
- Floorhead not fully seated
- Dirty electrical contacts
- Wand or floorhead wiring issue
- Brush motor fault
Safe checks before you bring it in
- Turn the vacuum off and remove the battery if the model allows it.
- Cut away hair and thread from the brush roll.
- Reseat the wand and floorhead connections.
- Check whether the brush spins on hard floor but stops on carpet.
- Let the head cool if it stopped after heavy use.
What to bring to the shop
- Bring the power unit, battery, wand, charger, and floorhead.
- Tell us whether the brush fails on every surface or only on carpet.

Repair or replace?
If cleaning the brush roll and reseating the head does not restore rotation, the shop should test the contacts, wand, and head before replacing parts.
If the vacuum is less than halfway through a normal Miele service life, repair is often the better financial choice. If the repair estimate approaches the cost of a new HomeCare model, we will say that plainly.
